Here come the girls – Vicky, Adele and Denise

BOOKS BY THE BEACH, VARIOUS VENUES April 26 to May 1

It’s celebrity time as Scarboroug­h welcomes top TV presenters to Books by the Beach.

Vicky Pattison is probably best known for appearing in the MTV show Geordie Shore and her own show Judge Geordie.

She won the nation’s hearts when crowned Queen of the Jungle in I’m a Celebrity and now presents I’m a Celebrity: Extra Camo. Vicky has also been a panel member on ITV daytime chat show Loose Women She has written two autobiogra­phies and two novels and is keen to spend more time promoting her writing.

Vicky will be joined by fellow North-Easterner and bestsellin­g author Adele Parks. Adele worked in advertisin­g until she published her first novel in 2000. Since then, her many Sunday Times bestseller­s have been translated into 26 different languages. Adele spent her adult life in Italy, Botswana and London until 2005 when she moved to Guildford, where she lives with husband and son.

She is particular­ly known for her romantic fiction but has taken the path into historical fiction and her latest The Stranger in My Home is a tense, dramatic, plot twisting thriller.

They will be at Scarboroug­h Library on on Saturday April 29 at 7pm.

Another Loose Women panellist Denise Welch will be a sfestival guest on Monday May 1 at 10am. Denise is a skilled theatre and TV actor whose credits include Coronation Street, Soldier, Soldier, Waterloo Road and BBoy Meets Girl.

Denise has written two Sunday Times best-selling autobiogra­phies and will be introducin­g her debut novel If They Could See Me Now at the festival.

Heather French, festival co-director said: “We’re delighted to welcome three well known faces to this year’s Books by the Beach.

“We’re always looking for ways to widen our audiences and I know these lovely ladies will do just that. We strive to make the festival accessible and include popular subjects and personalit­ies. I’m very excited to include Vicky, Adele and Denise in our lineup and to give them the warmest Scarboroug­h welcome.”

Books by the Beach runs from Wednesday April 26 to Monday May 1.
