Unbeaten displays from Mark Marshall and Glen Hodgson set up Corinthians to record a heavy 9-1 win over The Hit

Squad in the Scarborough Flooring Division One.

Hodgson kept his nerve to defeat Ross Dransfield 12-10 in the only five-set rubber of the night. The latter had better luck in defeating Dale Symons to stop the whitewash.

Corinthians B also had a success, beating Pindar 6-4.

Best player on show was Pindar’s Macauley Youngson as his hard-fought treble included two five-set wins.

Against Ed Wardman he showed all his fighting qualities to win the rubber, 11-8, 9-11, 10-12, 14-12, 12-10.
