Little Mix and Olly Murs attracted thousands to the Open Air Theatre last week as they rocked show-stopping performances.

Both acts shot to fame on popular talent show The X Factor, six and eight years ago respectively, and are still going strong.

One of the world’s biggest girl groups sold out their ‘Summer Shout Out’ tour within hours when tickets went on sale and again when 500 extra standing tickets were released.

Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall delivered a stunning set of hits including Wings, Shout Out To My Ex, Black Magic, Power and Secret Love Song.

Just an hour before the band took to the stage torrential rain fell on the arena. But this did not dampen the spirits of the thousands of Little Mix fans. As the band left the stage, Jesy told the crowd: “Scarborough you have been incredible this evening. Thank you so so much for all your love and support tonight. Honestly, you have been one of the best crowds we have ever performed for. Doing this in the rain – you are troopers. We love you guys so so much.”

Fans of Olly Murs were blessed with brighter weather as the cheeky chappy took to the stage, The chart-topper played a hit-packed set which included Up, You Don’t Know Love, Heart Skips A Beat, Dear Darlin’, Troublemaker, Dance With Me Tonight, Years and Years and a cover of Stevie Knows/Superstition.

Bouncing and dancing about the stage, the crowd reacted with phenomenal cheers throughout his energetic set.
