It’s all about funding the EU project
Replying to the Brexit news feature in The Scarborough News:
I voted Leave and a year on would do so again.
I aren’t naive enough to think Brexit would be straightforward but the people voted and it needs to be acted upon. Richard Corbett Euro-MP is fuelling division and pushing project fear in the hopes of overturning the result, in my view.
Immigration, lack of infrastructure to cope with immigration, the destructive fishing policy and the European Court of Justice interfering in our court rulings are my concerns.
The utter contempt shown by the EU over Brexit shows that money is the issue they’re bothered by and not a deal that’s good.
It’s all about funding the EU project.
The initial trading block was great but now it’s just morphed into something that’s power grabbing and asset stripping member states.

Long Walk Scarborough it is clear that shale gas fracturing is harmful.
To your readers who wish to be informed but have little time to do research I recommend two easily found sources. The first is the Executive Summary on page five of the 2015 Medact Report, written by UK doctors. It contains overwhelming evidence of the harm that fracking can do to people’s health, to air, water and soil as well as to tourism, agriculture and property values. The second, of particular interest to farmers, is a short Australian documentary called Fractured Country, found on YouTube. It shows the devastating effects of fracking on crops, livestock and soil, and on farmers and their families.
Far from seeking to damage the reputation of farmers and farming, the anti-fracking movement wants people to be aware of the risks that fracking poses to agriculture and to consumers in North Yorkshire.
