Under-14s star in tournament
Scarborough Under-14s collected two wins and a draw from their Yorkshire Hockey League Tournament games.
Despite only playing their first match a few weeks ago, they ran out 3-0 winners against Selby in their opening clash.
The goals come from India Faughey-Scraggs and Amelia Holdsworth.

With two wins in the bank already, Scarborough played relaxed and freely.
Northallerton took the lead, but Scarborough weren’t intimidatedand Holdsworth managed to score to book a well-deserved 1-1 draw.
Scarborough Ladies
claimed a 4-0 win against Bradford Ladies in the Yorkshire Hockey League Division Four North.
Scarborough have an unbeaten record and at times were a little nervy about ending their run, but a breakaway from Harriet Stephenson opened the scoring with a marvellous reverse in the circle for the opening goal.
While Scarborough’s goalkeeper was called into action, it was Scarborough who dominated the first half with further goals from Stephenson and the hard-working Alex Seymour.
After the interval Seymour put an end to the Bradford side’s ambitions, as she scored to make it 4-0.
That goal sealed another win for Scarborough, who have a crucial couple of weeks ahead of them.
The ladies play both the second-placed side and the third-placed side in the league, starting with an away trip at Horsforth.
Consolidation of their first position before Christmas is a realistic possibility, but victories and good performances in these games are essential.
