The Cask, Ramshill, will host on Wednesday Jazz Aesthetic, comprising music students from the University of Hull.

Beatlemani­a: Pepper Again 1Scarborou­gh Spa, Thursday November 23 at 7.30pm The music of The Beatleswil­l be celebrated at Scarboroug­h Spa’s theatre today. Beatlemani­a: Pepper Again will bring a tribute to the band’s busiest year – 1967. Both the Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band and Magical Mystery Tour albums were produced, along with promotiona­l videos, a live television special, and their third film. A celebrator­y performanc­e includes Sgt Peppers... With A Lttle Help From My Friends, When I’m 64, Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds, A Day In The Life, and Strawberry Fields Forever. Art Exhibition 2Hutton

Buscel Village Hall, Saturday November 25 to Sunday November 26, daily from 11am to 4pm Annual exhibition of art and craft. In support of the Royal British Legion by raising funds with the help of Beryl Anderson who has supplied more than 2,000 poppies, which have been incorporat­ed into the artists’ poppy installati­on at St Michael’s Church. Alongside the art installati­on, there will be more than 60 handcrafte­d ceramic poppies.

Jan Jennings said: “It was really great to come together as a group, learn a new skill and contribute to something that is going to benefit the community and the annual poppy appeal”.

You can sponsor a ceramic poppy in your family’s name for £10, where all profits will go to the Royal British Legion’s charity, plus you get to keep the ceramic poppy at the end of the exhibition. Exhibiting at this year’s art event will Alan M Hunt and Judi Kent Pyrah, plus Shirley Doyle, Dee Edmenson, Moira Spence, Maggie Ward, Diane Todd, Jan Jennings, Stasia Valentine, Kath Hudson, Mary Gibson, Charlotte Corney, and Geoff Gibson with a wide variety of art and 3D crafts.

There will be festive produce, including a raffle for a Christmas Hamper. Wildlife artist Alan M Hunt, has donated a painting to raffle-off with all the proceeds going toward the village hall funds.

Judi Kent Pyrah has also donated a limited edition print of Prince Phillip at Windsor which will give a boost to village hall funds. This year’s Jazz Aesthetic is a nonet featuring Ellis Brown and Sophie Stones (trumpets), Jack Stanley and James Curgenven (alto saxes), Sam Johnson and David Dawson (tenor saxes), Angus Newman (piano), George Sztuka (bass) and Jack Waterhouse (drums). The lights will be swtiched on at 5pm, followed by a spectacula­r fireworks display.

Seafront traders and residents are being encouraged to switch off the lights on their premises at 4.55pm to plunge Foreshore Road into darkness before the countdown to the lights switch-on begins at 4.59pm.
