Entries are still open for festive runners to sign up for the Santa Dash in aid of Saint Catherine’s Hospice.
The fun-filled festive fundraiser will take place on Sunday December 10 at noon and will see scores of Santas create a spectacle along Scarborough’s North Bay.
Entrants can choose either a 5K or 10K option to tackle while dressed in a red Santa suit.
The 5K route is from the Sea Life Centre to Hairy Bob’s Skate Park and back, the 10K is the same route but two times around.
This year Saint Catherine’s have added a Children’s Run which stretches 2K along the seafront for any keen “Santas in Training”.
Parents, grandparents, families and friends can all join the mini Santas in the Children’s Run.
The race is a hugely popular date in the town’s calendar and attracts hundreds of entrants each year.
The sight of scores Santas of all shapes and sizes running around Scarborough’s seafront is something not to be missed.
Rhiannon Hunt, event organiser for Saint Catherine’s, said: “We are very excited to see what this year brings. It promises to be a fantastic day full of festive family fun.
“It is always such a spectacular sight to see hundreds of Santas running along Scarborough seafront.”
Adult tickets cost £10 and child tickets £5 and include a free Santa Suit.
To register to take part in this year’s Santa Dash visit the Saint Catherine’s Hospice website at www.saintcatherines.org.uk/ events/santa-dash before the day of the race.
