A brand new Gin Festival is coming to Scarboroug­h for the first time next month – and we’ve got some great prizes to be won!

The Gin Society is bringing a festival to Scarboroug­h Spa on Friday 1 June (6pm10.30pm) and Saturday 2 June (12noon-4.30pm and 6pm-10.30pm).

At the festival you can enjoy a selection of the world’s finest gins and perhaps learn a few facts you didn’t know about this legendary libation. With over 120 different gins on offer, you can sample your favourite flavours and discover exciting new tastes, including a wide range of fashionabl­e fruit gins. The Gin Society will also be serving their hugely popular sloe gin and prosecco fizz, plus a small selection of bespoke beverages. Botanical brewers Fentimans will be supplying their range of tonic waters. There will be vintage music from resident DJs A Train Swing, and distillers will be sharing their skills in a series of gin masterclas­ses. Early Bird Tickets for each session are now on sale at £8.50 (plus booking fee). In- cluded in the entry price is a beautiful bespoke Gin Society gin goblet to keep as a souvenir, plus a booklet of tasting notes.

First prize in our competitio­n is two tickets to the festival (session of your choice) plus a 70cl bottle of Sir Robin of Locksley gin, worth around £30. There are two runners-up prizes of a pair of tickets each to the festival (session of your choice).
