Are you a gardening star?

-

The Muck and Magic Gardens Competition is now open for entries from garden lovers across the Scarborough area.

This is a fun competition for anyone who is passionate about their little piece of paradise.

Whatever the shape or size of your garden, the organisers would love to hear from you.

A spokesperson said: “We are not looking for Kew Gardens or Chelsea Flower Show, just for people who love their gardens.

“We have categories for private gardens, container gardens, ‘yardens’ – for people who garden in back yards!

“Shops and businesses can enter their premises and there is a separate section for hotels, guesthouses, pubs and restaurants.

“Young people have not been forgotten either.

“Do you have a school garden that you would like to show the judges or are you a uniformed group looking after a flower bed?

“Are you a group of people who garden together? The competition is free to enter and judging will take place from mid-July to mid-August.

The closing date for entries is June 30. All entrants will be invited to the annual Muck and Magic Garden Awards in October held at Scarborough Spa.
