Exley stars as Cloughton seal Severfield Cup win
Cloughton 2nds pulled off a resounding win in the T20 Cayley Cup Division Three final against Ravenscar.
Batting first, Cloughton had an excellent start through captain Liam Salt with a quick 46 runs and Sean Exley, who hit a matchwinning 87 to run up a total of 174. Freddie Barker took 3-32. In reply Ravenscar could not cope with Cloughton’s bowling attack, losing wickets regularly and finally being all out for 71, leaving Cloughton with a big win by 103 runs.
Sean Exley finished with 4-8 and Tom Owenson 2-8.
Exley was presented with the man of the match award by Simon Barnes, director of Severfield, before Salt lifted the silverware.
