Crooners on Saturday August 11 will follow the story of three very British gentlemen who, by their very nature, exude the characteristics of a crooner; suave, selfassured and stylish.

YMCA, St Thomas Street, Scarborough, every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday until August 30, daily at 7.30pm YMCA Productions is staging its summer season spectacular Grease the Musical this month and next.
The show, which is being performed three times each week through the summer season, is the latest in the line-up of musicals the youth theatre company has produced at the YMCA Theatre in St Thomas Street, Scarborough. Staged in celebration of the hit movie’s 40th anniversary, the show promises to be a funfilled and entertaining evening for all the family, with all of the best loved songs including Summer Nights, You’re The One That I Want and Grease Is The Word.
“Our cast of nearly 40 local performers have been rehearsing for the show since May and are really excited to perform it to packed houses throughout the six-week summer holiday,” said director James Aconley. “Our summer season is always a big hit, for both local theatregoers and holidaymakers alike. “We think that this season, with Grease as the headlining production, will be our best summer season yet.
“If you want an evening full of laughter, catchy tunes and energetic dance routines, all brought together by the muchloved characters made famous by the fantastic movie, then ‘Grease’ is the show for you this summer.”
Grease runs each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from now until August 30, with performances at 7.30pm. Also on the summer programme is Big Night Out presented by Rowlies Show Team each Saturday from July 28 to September 1, with performances at 7.30pm. Hatton Productions presents Monday Showtime – with guests Janna Leith, Stuart Metcalf, Chelsey Stubbs and Cameron Davies – every Monday from July 30 to September 3, performances at 7.30pm.
