Railway in Wartime
The centrepiece of the railway’s events calendar is the ever-popular Wartime Weekend , which is held every October, and includes a full programme of WWII and 1940s themed entertainment and events.
Heritage centre volunteers have brought together as much information as they can find on the 841 names engraved on the Oliver’s Mount war memorial and have analysed the data to show the youngest and oldest killed, along with the most popular streets they lived in. The gallery can accommodate groups of up to 17 by special arrangement. Visit www.scarboroughs maritimeheritage.org.uk
