Pipe and Glass, South
An East Yorkshire pub is celebrating after retaining its Michelin star for the 10th year in a row.
The Pipe and Glass, at South Dalton near Beverley, was first awarded the star in the 2010 guide. At an awards ceremony at London’s BFI IMAX cinema, it was announced that it had kept its star for 2019.
The pub is owned by chef James Mackenzie, who went to what was Yorkshire Coast College in Scarborough, and his wife Kate.
James champions regional ingredients in unfussy recognisable dishes packed with flavour and exhibiting subtle modern touches. James said: “The Michelin star is the ultimate accolade, and we’re delighted to have held ours for ten years now. It recognises a consistent quality.”
