PLAYER RATINGS

-

Tommy Taylor .......... 8

Kept his fourth clean-sheet in a row and had to make some fine stops to put a seal on it.

Dave Merris ............ 7

Limited his forays down the left flank to Boro’s benefit as the defensive unit looked very solid all evening.

Josh Lacey ............... 7

Well up for this game and did well, though he did get caught once or twice as he got overexcited.

Nathan Valentine .... 7

Did the doggy work in the midfield, making the big tackles and breaking up the play.

Ross Killock ............. 8

Returned and played like he had never been away against a very useful attacking line.

Bailey Gooda ............ 8

Typical Gooda. Won everything and looked very composed on the ball.

Wayne Brooksby .... 6

Didn’t see too much of the ball, but when he did he tried to get at the Gainsborough defence.

Matty Dixon ............. 6

Workmanlike display. Won his fair share of tackles and tried to work the ball forward where possible.

James Walshaw ...... 9

STAR MAN. Scored a superb goal and was so clever to relieve the pressure in the closing stages.

Michael Coulson ..... 7

Provided Boro with an excellent outlet. His quick feet caused Trinity all sorts of problems.

James Cadman ........ 6

Looked lively, but slipped out of the game as Gainsborough pushed forward.
