Tigers have plenty to cheer about

-

East Coast Tigers Cheerleading Team received a £250 donation from Scarborough’s Proudfoot supermarket group, to fund new equipment for the local team to train with and allow them to attract new members.

The family-run retailer supported the cheerleading team through Nisa’s Making a Difference Locally charity, which raises funds from the sale of selected products and via in-store collecting tins.

Jess Mortimer, Head Coach at East Coast Tigers Cheerleading Team, said: “We are really excited and grateful to have received this donation from Proudfoot, to help us purchase some new safety mats for our athletes to train on.

“These new mats will allow us to open our doors and give more people the opportunity to take part.”
