RNLI fish supper raises hundreds of pounds for lifeboat station

Filey RNLI are celebratin­g raising hundreds of pounds for the Lifeboat Station at a fish feast.

The crew at Filey Lifeboat held a fish supper at Ingham’s fish restaurant on Belle Vue Street through which they managed to raise £772. Over 70 friends, Ladies Guild members and crew attended the dinner, courtesy of owners Chris and Debbie Ingham who treated their guests to fish and chips with mushy peas, desserts and drinks.There was also a raffle and a quiz, which was won by the Lifeboat crew.

All prizes on offer for the raffle had been donated by Filey traders and friends of the Lifeboat Station.

John Ward, Filey Lifeboat Pres Officer, said: “It was a fantastic evening culminatin­g in a great amount raised for Filey Lifeboat. “Many thanks to all our friends who supported the event, to our Ladies Guild for running the evening and to Chris and Debbie Ingham and their staff for their generosity.”
