Ross’ treble helps Mavericks to draw

-

Ross Dransfield snaffled another treble for Mavericks, with Hobnobs the latest team unable to handle him in a 5-5 draw in Division One. Owing to illness, Scalby Old Boys had to draft in Nigel Escreet as a last minute replacement.

He could do nothing to affect the result, as Rolo, featuring of Martin Lowe, Sam Warburton and Moke Warburton, were in scintillating form in a 10-0 win.

James Builders beat Hackness 8-2. Trebles for Simon James and Gary Connolly were enough to seal the win. Whitby Endeavour continue to struggle as Specsavers (pictured) won 10-0. In Division Two, Karine Piham and Karl Cousins played out an enthralling contest to decide player of the match.

Piham came from 2-1 down to win 12-10 to ensure that Eastfield Warriors beat Picadore B 6-4.

Steve Miller hit top form on the way to a treble for Liberators Southside as they forced a draw against inform Hobnobs B. Hackness ended the week one point off Hobnobs following a 7-3 victory over Rogues and Joshers. Hackness’ Noel Seery was player of the match. Division Three’s top two players met as The Eraser Blades beat Eastfield Fusion 7-3. Blades’ Brian Goodliffe beat Richard Seastron 3-1. Naomi and Kath Edwards both hit trebles and finished the night unbeaten as The Bat-Alions chalked up a 8-2 win at Eastfield Tigers.

Phoenix won 7-3 against Ping Long, but none of Phoenix’s players were a match for Ping Long’s star player Mia Longman.
