Community at the heart of George Pindar School

George Pindar School kept up their tradition of inviting senior citizens for afternoon tea, last Wednesday. Every year, the Eastfield school hosts OAPs with connections to the school, along with other groups from St Cecilia’s, Cayton Over 60s and the Royal British Legion, to name but a few. The free event has been running for over 20 years, and was once again well attended, with more than 50 senior citizens taking their place at the school for the afternoon. As well as the afternoon tea, served by the school’s year 11 health and social class, the senior citizens we treated to free bingo and raffle also, with a number of businesses donating.
