Police ready for derby day

North Yorkshire Police will have an increased presence in Whitby on New Year’s Day, when Whitby Town and Scarborough Athletic meet for a derby clash.

Boro travel to the Turnbull Ground for the 1pm kick-off, and police have said they are fully prepared to prevent any trouble between supporters after the August clash resulted in post-match violence between supporters. The fixture is an all-ticket affair. Supporters can buy tickets from the club, the Boro Hub or Wasley Chapman’s.
