Men­tal health work­shops

Peo­ple are be­ing in­vited to at­tend two pro­grammes of free work­shops in the New Year to help them im­prove their men­tal health and well­be­ing.

The two ‘Chang­ing Minds’ cour­ses are be­ing run by men­tal­healthchar­i­tyS­car­bor­ough Whitby and Ryedale Mind and are for any­one who would like hel­pand­sup­port­with­im­prov­ing their well­be­ing.

The work­shops, at Fals­grave Com­mu­nity Re­source Cen­tre on Seamer Road, will both take place weekly on Thurs­days in Scar­bor­ough start­ing on Thurs­day 10 Jan­uary­with­onecourse­fo­cus­ing on men­tal health aware­ness and the other on be­hav­iour and com­mu­ni­ca­tion.

The five-week Men­tal Health Aware­ness course will run for two hours, while the sec­ond, Be­hav­iour Change and Com­mu­ni­ca­tion, will take place over four af­ter­noon ses­sions.

Places are lim­ited and must be booked in ad­vance.
