Saint Catherine’s fashion show goes with a swing at golf club
The Saint Catherine’s Filey Support Group held a fashion show at Filey Golf Club, which raised £737.60. The golf club kindly let the venue be used free of charge and gave a free glass of fizz to everyone. The fashion was provided by Diane Yalezo of Desire of Filey, and she commentated on the clothes modelled by eight volunteers, who each had nine outfits to showcase.
Five local businesses had stalls: Charlottes of Filey had a cake stall and donated all their sales; Daisy Dot florists donated two floral displays as raffle prizes; Body Shop at Home donated half their scratchcard takings; Desire had a handbag and jewellery stall and donated an item for the raffle; and Fab Retro sweets donated two prizes for the next tombola. Nibbles were donated by
Kyle at The Sizzling Griddle at the Station Hotel, who produced a varied and extensive cheeseboard. There was also a raffle, tombola and sale of Christmas cards and calendars.
