Band The Feens announce tour
Scarborough band The Feens have announced their first headline tour which will take place in February next year.
THE BAND
The Feens formed in late 2016 and have gone from strength to strength ever since. Made up of singers Freddie Schmuck and Adam Lodge (also on bass), drummer Perrie Bunton and lead guitarist Sam Dowling, the band began by playing small gigs in Scarborough and York.
Their single What Are You Dreaming, released in August this year, gained national radio play on Radio X and BBC Radio One.
They also supported Inhaler in July and played their first major UK festival at Y Not? festival in Derbyshire this summer.
THE TOUR
This will be the first headline tour for the band. It is being supported by promoters This Feeling, who took the band to Y Not?, and championed bands such as Blossoms and Catfish and the Bottlemen at the start of their careers.
The band will play an eight-date tour in February next year in Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield, Northampton, Swansea, Hull and Scarborough (two dates).
HOMETOWN SHOWS
The band originally announced one tour date for Scarborough, February 29 2020, at the Tipi Venue at Scarborough Open Air Theatre.
The date sold out in 12 hours, leading to a second on February28,atthesamevenue. Freddie said of the first date: “We were looking forward to putting it on sale and our aim was to sell it out before Christmas. We’ve found it hard enough to get people out to a free pub gig so for it to have sold out in 12 hours is something for us to be proud of.” Tickets are available from www.thisfeeling.co.uk/zones
