Little Mix and Snow Patrol to play next year

The bands will perform at the Open Air Theatre

Two globally successful bands will take to the stage at the Scarboroug­h Open Air Theatre next summer.

Pop superstars Little Mix previously played a sold-out show at the venue in 2017 and will return on Tuesday July 21 during their summer tour.

Indie-rock giants Snow Patrol will perform at the venue on Saturday July 4 .

Formed in 2011, Little Mix – Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirwall – have gone on to become global stars with hits Woman Like Me, Touch, Shout Out to My Ex, Black Magic and Wings.

The group said: “Our last summer tour was one of our favourites ever, so we can’t wait for some more brilliant outdoor shows next year. ”

Over a 25-year career, Snow Patrol have carved out a unique place for themselves with anthems such as Chasing Cars, Run, You’re All I Have, Signal Fire, Called Out in the Dark and Take Back the City.

Since releasing their debut album, Songs for Polarbears, Gary Lightbody, Johnny McDaid, Nathan Connolly, Paul Wilson and Jonny Quinn have racked up an array of critical and commercial accolades, including more than 17 million global album sales.

Tickets for Little Mix go on sale at 9am today and for Snow Patrol at 9am tomorrow.
