Fire service recruiting wholetime firefighters

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service will shortly begin the latest recruitment drive for wholetime firefighters.

Positions will be available at the service’s shift, day crewed and self roster fire stations.

The fire service is particularly keen to attract applicants from all parts of the community so it better represents those it serves.

Staff from Scarborough Fire Station are holding a number of sessions aimed at dispelling myths that surround a career in the fire service and providing applicants with advice and guidance to best approach the selection process.
