Wear fancy dress to help NHS workers

-

An online fancy dress fundraising campaign supporting the NHS and its ongoing fight against Covid-19 has launched to the public and will be running through until May 25, 2020.

The ‘Fancy Dress 4 NHS’ campaign is open to everyone, with organisers appealing for contributors to create fun short videos containing supportive messages of admiration, hope and goodwill.

A number of leading suppliers, including Rubie’s UK, Palmer Agencies and Amscan have offered their assistance, while retailers Fun Fancy Dress and Euro Costumes will be offering discounts to the public, with donations going directly to the campaign.

All monies raised from the campaign will support the RCN (Royal College of Nursing) Foundation Covid-19 Support Fund and will benefit nurses, midwives and healthcare support workers across health and social care who are experiencing economic or psychological difficulties.

The collective show of support and appreciation through Fancy Dress 4 NHS is a testament to the tireless efforts of the nursing community in keeping families and communities safe. This support will not only help those individuals who may be experiencing personal hardship as a result of COVID-19 but will also help to address some of the psychological implications associated with working on the frontline.

Anyone interested in joining this inspiring call to action should get in touch with campaign manager Adam Fillary via www.fancydress4nhs.com.

Videos should be uploaded to Facebook using #FD4NHS or #FancyDress4NHS, with donations also being made online.
