Kohler-Cadmore eyeing silverware
Yorkshire County Cricket Club batsman Tom KohlerCadmore is looking forward to a bumper 2021 season, as his side go on the hunt for silverware.
“If you look at our squad this year, we’ve got a great set of players and the signings of Dom (Bess) and Dawid (Malan) will help us,” the righthanded batsmen told The
Scarborough News.
“We’ve definitely got good potential for this season and a good squad so hopefully we’ll be able to challenge for the titles.”
Kohler-Cadmore has spent the winter abroad playing for the Pune Devils in the Abu Dhabi T10 and Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan T20 and he admits that it’s helped improve his game.
He said: “I think with the different players and conditions;
you pick up a different perspective on the game.
“For me, it’s been brilliant to learn from the likes of Darren Sammy, Hashim Amla, Shoaib Malik, Jonty Rhodes and having them talking to me every day helped improve my game and I loved every minute of it.
“Hopefully I’ll be able to bring what I’ve learnt back and use the confidence I’ve gained at the start of the season and then into the white ball game later.”
The former Worcestershire County Cricket Club man has his eyes firmly set on winning trophies to ensure that 2021 is a successful season.
“Obviously winning silverware for Yorkshire and individually it would contributing to wins and putting in good performances.
“If I can win us three orfour games in each of the formats, I’m sure it’ll go a long way to helping the club win titles.”
