Filey company Cura Financial Services took home a double win for the second year in a row at the 2021 Yorkshire Financial Awards.

Cura were presented with the Customer Service Award for the second year running, and co-Managing Director Kathryn Knowles received the Outstanding Achievement Award, following on from co-Managing Director Alan Knowles’ success in 2020, at the annual Yorkshire Financial Awards, in association with Inzuzo.

The awards have been developed to celebrate the financial services industry, and the achievements and successes of the region’s best and brightest.

The categories are designed to encourage nominations from a myriad of lenders, brokers, advisers and institutions,

while also offering individual and team awards.

The judges praised Cura for its approach to handling its more vulnerable clients over the past 12 months, noting that its training programme, coupled with its monitoring and compliance activities, ensure it delivers a compelling, capable customer service experience.

Kathryn Knowles was also recognised with the Out

standing Achievement Award for being “a leading force in training and development” as well as being recognised for her work to improve access to insurance as a member of theBritishInsuranceBrokers’ Association Access to Insurance Group.

The awards were a little different this time round as they were held virtually.

The online ceremony was presented by comedian Lucy Porter.
