FIVE THINGS FOR YOUR WEEK...

-

STREAMING The Girlfriend Experience StarzPlay, from Sunday

The first two seasons are already available, and now the third instalment is being added to the streaming service. For the uninitiated, The Girlfriend Experience is an anthology series inspired by Steven Soderbergh’s film of the same name, so expect a bunch of different characters to take centre stage this time around. The setting is the London tech scene, where student Iris juggles her neuroscience degree with work as a high-end escort. She begins to realise that sessions with her clients can provide her with an edge in the tech world, but wonders if her actions are driven by free will.

DRAMA

Line of Duty BBC1, 9pm, Sunday

The current run of Line of Duty is the longest to date – seven episodes instead of the usual six (or five, in the case of the first season). So, that’s given viewers even longer to work on their conspiracy theories as we reach the end of the sixth series. As you’d expect, details are being kept scarce – after all, no one wants spoilers, especially when Line of Duty has reminded us how tense it can to wait seven days for the next instalment, instead of just binging the whole lot in one go. What we do know is that with time running out, AC12 are trying to unmask “H”, the fourth man (or woman) running the network of corrupt officers behind the murder of Gail Vella.
