Shop robbery: man is charged
A man has appeared in court accused of a knifepoint robbery at a Scarborough shop.
Alex Gaddass, 26, of Westborough, appeared at Scarborough Magistrates’ Court yesterday after cash was stolen from the Premier shop on North Marine Road on Sunday evening.
He is charged with robbery and possessing a knife, and was remanded in custody to appear at York Crown Court on May 28 when he is expected to enter a plea.
A man in his 30s who was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery has been released on police bail while officers continue with their investigation.
