Scarboro’ Ladies U12s seal cup win
Scarborough Ladies Under12s marched into the North Riding County Cup semi-finals following a comfortable 4-0 home win against Guisborough Town in their quarter-final clash on Saturday.
Hosts Scarborough started sluggishly and Guisborough forced the home team back in the opening 10 minutes, but great work from Alesha Grime forced a defensive error, from which she capitalised to finish well for 1-0.
The home team now had confidence in their play which saw Lola Bayes end a lung-busting run with a fine finish to put the hosts 2-0 up
at the half -time break.
Scarborough started the second half on the front foot and were quickly rewarded when Gracie McGloughlin netted their third.
Brooke Southern then got in the act and finished off the tie with a good finish for Scarborough’s fourth.
