Debenhams to close next week

Scarborough’s branch of Debenhams is to close by Saturday May 15, the company has announced. The store is one of 49 that will close on May 12 or May 15; the company’s remaining 52 others will close this Saturday, May 8. The store will be holding an 80% off sale in its final few days. Debenhams has been trading on the British high street for 242 years.
