Railway’s wartime weekend cancelled

The North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) has announced the cancellation of this year’s Railway in Wartime weekend, which was due to be held in October.

Chris Price, General Manager of NYMR, said: “After consultation with, and the subsequent support from Pickering Town Council, we are deeply saddened to announce the cancellation of this year’s Railway in Wartime event.”

He said the nationwide lockdowns and delays to the 2021 season opening had made planning such a big event impossible.
