Father and daughter snap up doubles win
Borough Bowling Club, on Manor Road, have run an April/May doubles competition over three weeks to allow new members to take part in some competitive bowling.
Last Sunday saw the culmination with Les Ramm and Ken Marshall seeing off the plucky challenge from Caroline Watson and Pauline Allison 21-19 while Mick Gates and Jo Gates beat Ray Malton and Alan Marshall 21-14 in the semi-finals.
Mick led suberbly in the final and with some great back up from his daughter Jo they managed to run out 21-7 winners against Ramm and Ken Marshall.

Socially-distanced, covidsecure crown green bowling leagues along the East Coast are due to restart from Monday.
