Village businesses for sale

-

A Hunmanby pub is up for sale as the owner is set to retire after 24 years.

The Cottage Inn is on the market with specialist business property adviser Christie & Co.

The quaint traditional village pub has established a great rapport among villagers and local sports societies, as well as visitors.

It is on the market for £425,000.

Vendor Paul Cowley said: “I bought The Cottage Inn in 1998 and since then it has been a fantastic income for me and my portfolio but now is the right time to sell for retirement.”

Another business in the village, The Hunmanby Pantry, is also on the market with Christie & Co.

Under the ownership of JoAnn McMillan and her daughter Eliza for the past 15 years, the family-run delicatessen and village grocery has established itself as a local favourite for its range of fresh baked goods and locally-sourced produce.

Jo-Ann has also decided to retire.

The Hunmanby Pantry is on the market with a guide price of £130,000.
