COVID

Should the UK follow Denmark and suspend its Covid vaccination efforts?

No, the risks are too high for the vulnerable.

Ken Grey No, the risks are still there, they haven’t gone away.

John Lee Yes, definitely. What’s the point? You can’t get tested any more and you don’t have to isolate. So, just crack on and get used to it.

Michelle Holt Hard to travel without a vaccine passport.

Niki Yoshua Yes, seen as they don’t even work!

Simone Andree Williams They should keep the vaccines for the more vulnerable of us and that’s it. I think everyone else who has wanted the vaccine has had it now and the rest don’t want it.

YORKSHIRE

If you were to show a visitor Yorkshire, where would you go?

Definitely the Dales, Hebden Bridge and Haworth home of the Brontes.

Donna Raeburn Roche Abbey, York, Robin Hoods Bay, Moors and Dales.

Patricia Murphy Yorkshire Moors and all the little villages along the coast.

Enid Jennings So many great options but if had to choose one it would probably be York.

Maureen Mitchell The Yorkshire Dales including Hawes and Leyburn.

David Kemp East Yorkshire seaside resorts, North Yorkshire Moors, Ilkley, Harrogate, York, Pugneys, Newmillerdam, far too many lovely places to choose from.

Angela Holden It would take at least a couple of months to show just the best bits!

John Warden

Chrissy Taylor If I could only choose one, it would have to be York. Trevor Bottomley Yorkshire Sculpture Park and then Cannon Hall. Catherine Downs York, North Yorkshire Moors and the Dales. So much to see and do in all Yorkshire.

HOLIDAYS ABROAD

When was the first time you went abroad and where did you go?

I went to Germany as an au pair in 1969 at almost 18-years-old. Travelled to Holland from Hull then was picked up by the German family. What a 12 months followed!

Maureen Mitchell Corfu in the 1980s before it became commercialised. Nicola Douglas-Speakman 1951 I went to Gibraltar with my 18-month-old son to join his dad who was stationed there. No jet planes in those days.

Peggy Owen 1993 we went to Guernsey in a tiny little plane, I was 36 and petrified.

Alison Harding 1975 Jersey. I was a little kid and felt like a rock star.

Julie Collier 1968 on a school trip to Belgium.

Christine Granger 1970 with my husband and four children to Benidorm. The first time for all of us to fly.

Andrea Craven Tenerife 1980. I was fouryears-old. Fell in the deep end of the pool and had to be rescued – was put straight into swimming lessons when we got home.

Lou Jane Spain in the 60s before it was commercialised. Smoking on plane. Got sweets on take-off. Salted peanuts. How things have changed.

Marie Marcroft 1971 to Paris. Brilliant time with my school friends.
