Sam Jewison: The Great 1American
Songbook Scarborough Spa, Thursday August 4 at 7.30pm Scarborough born and bred Sam Jewison presents his first concert in his home town for nine years.
The show honours the leading lights of the Broadway stage, Hollywood screen and Harlem jazz clubs, featuring songs such as Night and Day, Cheek to Cheek and Strike Up the Band as well as Gershwin’s masterpiece, Rhapsody in Blue.
Sam will be accompanied by a 13-piece orchestra. Expect salutes to performing legends, Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland, Duke Ellington, and many more.

Scarborough Jazz CLub 3The Cask, Ramshill, Wednesday August 10. Doors open at 7.45pm Scarborough Jazz Club welcomes back Jon Taylor, his saxophone and vocals. Earning his stripes on the QE2 and in cabaret as well as busking, Jon can boast a repertoire of more than a thousand tunes from the great American songbook, jazz classics, Latin numbers and blues. He will be backed by the MG3.
