Florence and Nikki hit top gear at Helmsley Pool Aquathon

Two Scarboroug­h Athletic Club members took part in an Aquathon at the Hemsley Open Air Swimming Pool.

Eleven-year-old Florence Carr Walls finished 8th of 15 in the Splash and Dash event, which consisted of100-metres swim and 500-metres run.

Nikki Carr Walls finished 3rd of 6 in the Gold event which I consisted of a 400-metres swim and a 2-kilometre run.

At the Ron Hill Memorial 10-kilometre multi terrain race, Scarboroug­h AC’s Lynn Watson battled the very hot weather on the course to finish in 68.17.

At the event, Lynn was selected for an interview with a Granada Television News reporter!

Seven club members took part in the North Yorkshire Water Park Parkrun.

Joseph Merron was the first home once again for the club when he finished 9th overall of 158 which included a total of 88 ‘first timers!

Sarah Noble led the club’s trio of females after finishing 4th overall of 70

Other Male Results: R. Powell 11th Over-50,, M. Thompson 1st Over-80, R. Gough 3rd Over-70

Other Female Result: L. Hindhaugh 1st Over-60

Carey Bilton took part as a Tail Runner.

Four female club members took part in the latest

Pauline Elliot once again led the quartet after finishing 48th overall of 74 and the 7th Over-40

Linda Hinchliffe was 11th Over-50. Patricia Keenan and Mary Slater were 2nd and 3rd of the Over-70s

At the Cinder Track Whitby

Sewerby Parkrun.

Parkrun, Hester Butterwort­h was 8th female overall of 68 and once again the 1st Over-50.

Mike Padgham was 70th of 80 males and 6th Over-65

Five club members took part in the latest Dalby Forest Parkrun.

The in-form Robbie Preston led the quintet after finishing 2nd overall of 132 with a Personal Best.

He was followed by Harry

Whitehouse who was 1st Over-70.

Sharon Carr led a club trio after finishing 50th of 53 females and 8th Over-60.

She was followed by Nicki Edmonds, who was the 6th Over-55 and Wendy Pattison 2nd Over-40.

Guillia Wilkins took part in her ninth Parkrun at Endcliffe Park Sheffield and was 52nd overall of 151 females and 7th Over-40.
