Shotguns fit for a prince and an aristocrat among auction lots
Two rare shotguns owned by an East Yorkshire farmer are among the lots at a Scarborough auction tomorrow.
One gun was made in 1884 for Thomas Powys, 4th
Baron Lilford, a Victorian aristocrat.
The other is a shotgun made by Prince Albert’s favourite gunmaker, Westley Richards of Birmingham, in 1910.
Lord Lilford’s gun has been rated at £1,500 £2,500, and the Westley Richards is expected to make £8,000-£12,000. Both are at the Duggleby’s auction in Vine Street.
