OPEN GARDENS – The next event in aid of the church and village hall is the open gardens on Sunday, September 4, 12.30-3.30pm, with the gardens closing at 4.30pm. Maps £3 available from the village hall.

Cream teas will be served at thewestendofthevillage(orin the village hall if wet), 2-4pm.

Thisyeartherearenotquite as many gardens but Brompton’s historic church, where the poet William Wordsworth was married, will be decorated and there are some different gardens to see.
