Scarborough Jazz Club 4The
Cask, Ramshill, Wednesday August 31, doors open at 7.45pm Edison Herbert made his debut at the club last November. He is a sensitive and melodic musician who plays the guitar from the heart.
His distinctive sound is influenced by Wes Montgomery and by George Benson, who described him as “one of the few cats that can make that thing sing". The Edison Herbert Trio bring excitement, verve and vitality to everything they play, with engaging grooves, sensitive ballads and foottapping numbers that mix the familiar with the new in a refreshing way.

Co-directors David Lean and Noel Coward created the patriotic World War Two drama under the auspices of Great Britain's Ministry of Information.
After the sinking of the HMS Torrin during the Battle of Crete in 1941, the ship's survivors - including Captain Kinross (Noël Coward), Chief Petty Officer Hardy, Bernard Miles, and Seaman Blake, John Mills – recall their tour of duty in flashback while awaiting rescue in lifeboats.
