AMAZING GPS ART
A TALENTED runner has been using the GPS system on his smartwatch to create amazing pieces of art.
Jeric Yuen, 37, has created all sorts of characters while out on his runs, including a tiger, a bear, a dinosaur, a chicken and a snail. He’s been putting the routes together using a website called plotaroute.com which then sends the directions to him via his smartphone.
Jeric has made more than 50 art pieces since he set up the fun challenge in 2019, which also aims to raise awareness and money for the charity Spinal Research. He said the idea came about after he experienced “one of the most devastating moments of my life.” Jeric was training for the Berlin Marathon when he cracked one of his toes and ended up on crutches for three months. He wasn’t able to move properly or see people and decided that when he was better he wanted to help others in a similar position.
