Uncover the history of your home
A fascinating glimpse into the history of houses across North Yorkshire is available to the public through an archive dating back nearly 700 years. Researching house history is second only to family history for queries to North Yorkshire’s County Record Office.
The County Record Office is staging an exhibition and launching an online guide. The exhibition, at the County Record Office in Northallerton, runs until January 31, Tuesday to Friday from 9.30am to 4pm. There will be drop-in sessions on October 31 and November 9.
