LECTURES – The next lecture of the Scarborough Archaeological and Historical Society is on Monday, October 17, in Scarborough Library, 7.30pm. Lectures are free to members and £3 to nonmembers.

The lecture is entitled Tiger Skins, Tapestries and Tree-planting: The Work of a National Trust Curator by Jonathan Wallis.

Further lectures will be held on November 7 – 75 Years of the Scarborough Archaeological and Historical Society by Chris Hall; November 14 – Mapping Viking Settlement in Eastern Yorkshire by Stuart Wrathmell; November 28 – The Work and Collections of the Brontë Parsonage Museum by Ann Dinsdale; December 12 – Before the Bombardment: MI5 and the German Invasion of Britain by Nicholas Hiley.
