Scarborough RUFC Valkyries surged to a 59-10 win at Yarm Swifts on Sunday.

Abi Bowes was on top form once again for the Silver Royd club, racing for an amazing six tries for Scarborough.

This was a game where it was scrum heavy and a lot of work down the centre.

It was also a forward heavy game at times and Scarborough’s backs often found themselves in the thick of it.

The Valkyries’ next game is this Sunday, October 23, at home as they welcome Richmondshire Ravens.

In their previous match the Valkyries has stormed to a 29-22 win at home to Wensleydale.

Georgia Rae led the way in this clash with a hat-trick of tries.

Jess Bray, Tallulah Starbuck, Sam Knight and Abi Bowes also scored a try apiece for the Scarborough team.

Kate Allan kicked two conversions.

Knight won the Player of the Match for the forwards, Rae for the backs and Allan scooped the Opponents Player of the Match.

It was a very well-contested game against great opponents and the Scarborough side are looking forward to the return fixture.
