Golfing day raises £945 for hospice in memory of Glen
A golf day in memory of a well-known Scarborough footballer raised a superb £945 for St Catherine’s Hospice.
The annual Glen Salt Memorial Golf Day at South Cliff was a huge success.
Susan Stephenson, Hospice Communications & Marketing Manager, said: “A huge thank you to Craig Salt (Glen’s brother), and Liam and Ben (Glen’s sons) and everyone who supported this year's Glen Salt Memorial Golf Day.
“The event at South Cliff Golf Club raised an amazing £945.
“The family have been supporting the hospice with this annual event for 19 years and have raised thousands of pounds for patient care.
“Craig said it was a fantastic day and wished to thank all those who took part and Hughie Carroll, Jimmy Chambers, Nigel Salt and Brian Eyre for their help on the day.”
