Remember, remember the fifth of November … because Yorkshire is going all out for Bonfire Night this year. There are Yorkshire fireworks displays taking place from now to the middle of November.

Below is our pick of the best …

Bonfire Weekend Festival, Thornton Hall Country Park, Skipton, from 6pm Friday November 4 & Saturday November 5

There are two chances to enjoy one of the best fireworks displays in Yorkshire at Thornton Hall. Whether you go on Friday or Saturday, the gates open at 5.30pm for you to explore market stalls, enjoy live music and watch kids’ entertainm­ent.

There’s a bar and street food vendors. Then it’s time to find a good spot for lighting of the bonfire around 7pm, followed by a mega fireworks show with music and special effects from 8pm. Tickets cost £19.95 for adults and £14.95 for children with VIP upgrades available.

Sky Magic, Driffield Showground, East Yorkshire, from 5.30pm Saturday November 5

After a sell-out show in 2020, Sky Magic returns to Driffield Showground with another huge fireworks festival that caters for everyone.

There are drive-in facilities with seating next to your car, so you can enjoy the show from your own spot, or you can walk to enjoy this classic fireworks experience.

There is in-car entertainm­ent, funfair competitio­ns and street food. You can enjoy all that before they set off the fireworks at 7.30pm, accompanie­d by music. Tickets cost £10 for adults, £5 for children walk-in or £30 for drive-in tickets.

Mirfield Bonfire and Fireworks Extravagan­za, Mirfield Showground from 6pm Saturday November 5

Head to Mirfield Showground for one of the best family-friendly bonfire night events in Yorkshire. It’s run by Mirfield and District Round Table with proceeds going to worthy local causes.

This year it promises to be bigger and better than ever before. Gates open at 5pm so you have got plenty of time to grab something to eat and browse stalls, games and funfair, before the bonfire is lit at 6.30pm and fireworks go off at 7pm. Tickets cost £5 for adults and £2 for children.

Family Bonfire & Fireworks, Fulneck Golf Club, Fulneck, Pudsey, from 5pm Saturday November 5

Celebrate bonfire night in style at Fulneck Golf Club. There will be a fully licensed bar, barbecue, pie and peas, tuck shop and music.

The car park will be closed so park in Bankhouse Lane and walk to the club before 7.30pm fireworks display. Tickets must be pre-purchased, costing £4 for children, £7 for adults, £18 family ticket.

Firework Display, The Stray, Harrogate, from 4pm Saturday November 5

Harrogate Round Table’s 51st fireworks go ahead this year without a bonfire. In addition to fireworks’ finale, there will be fire performers as well as a range of local groups providing entertainm­ent on stage.

District scouts will sell food from local suppliers to raise funds for local troops, alongside a range of commercial vendors. There will also be fairground rides. Entry is free.

Scampston Hall Firework Spectacula­r, from 4pm Friday November 4

Pyromusica­l Fireworks will be choreograp­hed to a popular soundtrack from Movie Musicals. Sing and dance along to classic tracks from the past as well as some more popular modern movies. Tickets available from from Scampston Hall website.

Burniston and Cloughton Bonfire, Scarboroug­h, from 6pm Saturday November 5

Food and refreshmen­ts are available - no sparklers or personal fireworks allowed - around 7.30pm fireworks display. Tickets cost £5 adults , £1.50 children, £12.50 family (two adults and three children) available online via ticketsour­ce with, limited tickets available on the gate.

Grange Moor Maze, Wakefield, from 5pm Saturday November 5

Join A-Maize-ing Maze for their first bonfire night celebratio­ns. Hot food will be available from the café and there will be a bar on-site. Tickets cost £4 adults, £2 under-16s, free under-twos.

The Rising Sun, Castleford, from dusk Saturday November 5

Firework display along with live music from Chemical Brothers and Daft Punk tribute bands. Full light and laser show as well as a fantastic firework display. Tickets cost £7 adults, £3 under-14s, under 18s must be accompanie­d by adults.
