Councillors’ fact-finding station visit
Scarborough Borough Council’s overview and scrutiny committee members have visited Scarborough Fire Station to discuss plans for the service’s future. The councillors went to the North Marine Road site to speak to crew members, station manager Graeme Casper, and group manager Marc Warren on the changing nature of a firefighter’s role. Cllr David Jeffels, chairman of the Lives and Home Overview and Scrutiny Committee, said: “I would like to thank Graeme and Mark for welcoming us to the station and for their honest views on the pressures they face.”
