WI MEETING – In a change to their normal evening and in order to use the main space at the village hall, members of Burniston and Cloughton WI and their guests met for their November meeting to listen to a performanc­e by the Thursday Afternoon Singing Club from Scalby. It was a concert enjoyed by all and was followed by tea, coffee and homemade cakes.

Please join us at the refreshmen­t counter at Burniston and Cloughton Village Hall’s Christmas fair on December 4.

The next meeting is back in its usual slot on a Thursday at 7pm in the village hall and is scheduled for December 8 with a sharing supper and additional Christmas activities.

Guests welcome at any event, and prospectiv­e members can try out any of our village hall meetings at no charge.

CHURCH SERVICES – Following the installati­on of the Rev Canon Chris Coates as vicar of Cloughton, the normal pattern of services will be as follows:

First and second Sundays 10.30am Holy Communion; third Sunday 10am BCP Communion and 10.30am Cafe Refresh; fourth Sunday 10.30am Morning Worship; fifth Sunday combined service of the Northern Group. CHAIR EXERCISES – Chairbased exercise class on Mondays at Burniston and Cloughton Village Hall from 11am. Classes £5, but first one is free. For more details contact Janette on 07906 426068.
