Call for rear of cars to be lit during day
Daytime running lights on vehicles are a very good idea, but there is a flaw where the manufacturer of vehicles only wire them up to light at the front of the vehicle.
Many drivers don't know that the rear taillights are not lit at all. With the weather lately being dull and overcast and raining, many drivers should switch their dipped headlights on which then lights the rear taillights. This also applies at night.
I have seen many drivers who drive in the dark with the thought that their headlights and taillights are on, but the vehicle only has the front daytime running lights on not marking the rear of the vehicle.
All vehicles built from now on the manufacturer should wire up taillights to be on when daylight running lights are lit. There is a saying "they spoil the ship for a half-peth of tar".
