Scarborough Jazz
Club welcomes back Scarborough-based saxophonist Julia Wray. Julia has gigged around the world in different musical genres and combinations and is also a regular guest soloist and quartet leader in UK jazz clubs.
Her warm straight ahead sound and style are firmly in the mainstream tradition and the house trio MG3 will be right there with her. Providing support in the new generation jazz opening set is Social Oven. This is the second visit by the young musical collective nurtured at Scarborough’s YMCA. Minimum donation £5 on door
A Christmas Carousel

A Christmas Carousel is filled with song, dance and
comedy to entertain the whole family and leave you feeling in the festive spirit. Featuring a tribute to the ever-popular Polar Express, a meeting with Santa's Elves, well-loved reindeers and toy soldiers and a traditional Dickens Christmas finale. Guest performers include Jezz Pratt and Steve Chambers, two members of The Cloughton Ratpack’, who will be crooning their way through some festive classics. Scarborough's number one drag performer Krystal returns and the vocal team includes Tilly Jackson, Megan Blake, Connor Canvess, Joel Igno and Callum Marshall.
Each of the three performances also features a guest choir: Hertford vale Primary School, Saturday matinee; Hatton Performing Arts, Saturday evening and Northstead School, Sunday matinee.

Bradford Movie Makers is one of the oldest amateur filmmaking clubs in the world. Once a thriving community, these days the membership is dwindling and the group struggles to keep the wolf from the door. Desperately clinging to their dreams, and to each other, fueled by endless cups of tea, this quietly hilarious, profoundly moving portrait of shared artistic folly speaks to the delusionalescapist dreamer in us all and to the need to spend time together face to face in anincreasingly lonely, digital age.

A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story
Mark Gatiss stars as Jacob Marley in his own retelling of Dickens’ classic winter ghost story, A Christmas Carol, alongside Nicholas Farrell as Scrooge.
The powerful tale of life, love, loss and redemption is as relevant today as when it was first published 179 years ago. A Nottingham Playhouse production, it was filmed live for cinemas during the 2021 stage run at London’s Alexandra Palace Theatre and is filled with Dickensian, spine-tingling special effects.
